eegfilt(data, srate, locutoff, hicutoff, epochframes=None, filtorder=None, revfilt=False, firtype='firls', causal=False)

Filter an array using the legacy EEGLAB eegfilt design.

Data are shaped (channels, frames * epochs). Each epoch is filtered independently when epochframes is supplied, preventing information from leaking across trial boundaries. The filter runs in float64. EEGLAB eegfilt.m:209-210 runs filter/filtfilt on single-precision input in single precision (falling back to double only on error, :213-215), so its result differs from this one by single-precision rounding.

Returns:

(filtered_data, filter_coefficients).
